What's YOUR highlight?
We are reading, writing, chanting, finding, and discovering words and sounds everywhere! The more words we learn and use, the more that are noticed and discussed. There are so many connections made to stories that come through words.
There are also so many stories to tell that come through conversation. I know we are all busy and tired this time of year but sitting down together and simply asking, "How was your day?" and "What was your highlight?" can really benefit everyone.
"What's your highlight?" was a question an amazing coach asked my son and his team after each game. The focus was then on what was great about the game and themselves.
At dinner, my family began asking this to one another. Try it. Refocus the day. Enjoy one another. Share these small moments and build your child's vocabulary and curiosity.
